This course is designed to give you a look at a few of the foundations of the Division of Developmental Disabilities, as well as an overview of each qualifying disability category.   At the end of this session, you will be able to: •             Describe person centered approaches and social role valorization •             Define and identify eligibility for DDD services •             Discriminate between the 4 qualifying disability categories  

This course gives an introduction and overview of the services and programs that DDD provides to people with developmental disabilities and their families. Topics include: Division mission, DDD services, Arizona early intervention program, service providers, and the ISP process.

 This course provides information about hospice and the philosophy behind it.  We will also cover what services are generally provided, palliative care, non-drug pain relief, end of life care, and how to care of yourself as the caregiver.

NEW! This course will help you become more familiar with ADA law so that you can help yourself, members, and your family ensure that they receive appropriate accommodations.  The course will cover the following topics: definition of ADA, what is covered by the ADA, and amendments and other miscellaneous pieces of the ADA.

This course introduces participants to the four division-eligible developmental disabilities including Autism/Autism spectrum disorder, Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Disabilities, and "At Risk" categories. This course meets the Arizona ADH requirements for Intro to the Four Developmental Disabilities.
